Abstract: The dramatic progress in computer-assisted language learning has added more open-access features to modern education. This talk introduces the application of language knowledge bases in computer-assisted foreign language learning. Advances in computational linguistics and computer-assisted language learning will also be introduced, together with the related journals, conferences, and reflections. Other topics to be discussed include linguistic studies in computational linguistics, the comparison between traditional teaching modes and computer-assisted teaching, the development of mooc, etc.
